Hi together,
im just working on a project, bring some DMX Controlled light into my house and garden.
Therefore i have planned to use a ArtNet Node, and some kind of controller. I plan to use a Rasperry Pi with QLC+...
I really would preciate a time switch function. E.G. Call Cue/Scene XYZ at 18:30
Call Cue/Scene XYZ1 20:30 and so on....
Maybe for a theater or club this is not that much useable, but for lighting inside buildings it would be great!
Cheers!
Wishlist: Time controlled cues/scenes
Hi Jay, this idea is not bad at all.
Unfortunately at the moment QLC+ considers only relative times. I will think of a solution to have timed cues based on the system clock.
Please consider though that the Pi doesn't have a backup battery like a PC motherboard, so the only way to retrieve the system time is through NTP, therefore it has to be connected to a network (in most cases to the internet)

Just thought that I would add that I would find this feature useful as well. Several of my fixtures are exterior (building washes) and this would be a nice feature to have in that context.
OK, considered what you guys have to do, an idea came into my mind.
What if I improve the clock widget to assign a list of functions to be played at certain times of the day ?
(see that something I did for fun now becomes handy...lol)
If it's ok for you, there will be a second precision. Please don't ask more than that.

Massimo,
Combined with the ability to set a startup function, this really comes in handy. I hate to ask for more. However, it did occur to me that it would be nice to have a way to deactivate a function based on time as well. I only ask this to address the following scenario: if I activate a function which is assigned to a button in a solo frame on the virtual console and I subsequently activate another button in the solo frame, then both functions remain active (despite being inside of the solo frame).
Not a high priority, to be sure. But maybe it's a simple fix! In any case, 4.6.1 is great and I'm excited about quite a few of the new additions!
