Just done a quick search and i can't seem to find anything on the topic which is why i'm posting this question.

Is it/would it be possible to create multiple 'tabbed' pages in the virtual console?

Due to screen real estate, i would personally see multiple tabs so i can control different aspects of the dmx lighting, say such things as bar lighting on one tabbed page, signs and other switched items on another tabbed page, effect ligting controlled on another tabbed page etc etc.

I just want to make things simple to see/use and for other users to be able to use the software without going into to much technical stuff with say a cleaner who wants the lights on to sweep up. :)

I work in a venue which uses Showcad artist 3, and the seperate UI where you can click on the relevant page cue and that highlights the relevent scenes under that cue, is quite usefull.

Any thoughts?

http://www.qlcplus.org/docs/vcframe.html#pages Frame/Solo Frame with pages might be what you are looking for.

It's a multipage frame that you can put things inside. I does not have tabs so you can select only by clicking prev page/next page
buttons (which may be linked either to keys on keyboard or external input like MIDI).

I didn't check Showcad, so I'm not sure what you are referring to, but anyway: if you have buttons for individual scenes, and you start a scene from e.g. chaser,
then the button gets highlighted. Check this post viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6832&hilit=disney&start=10#p28763
(there's a video few posts below) - download the stuff (music and instructions are few posts earlier) start the show (big chaser) and watch
how the scenes get started/stopped.

If this doesn't solve your problem please ask more!

Yeah that is an option to use the multipage, but it still means a lot of moving things about to get where you need to be i guess.

I've tried to attach a pic but it says file is to big.
