Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to have different scene using for each one a different background image in Monitor (2D view).
It is a need, if possible, for theatre usage, when scenes are changing during the show.
Example: Scene 1 is in a room and Scene 2 is in the Saloon, equivalent to 2 different background images for the Monitor.
Or is it possible to link a background image to a scene in QLC+?
I am using QLC+ 4.7.4 under Win7 32 bit for Theatre lights and sounds management.
Thanks in advance for your assistance and help.

Hello Alain, the monitor 2D view is still a young part of QLC+.
I didn't think of the possibility you're suggesting and technically it would be possible, but not so straight forward.

Can you explain a bit the benefits of it ? I guess you would like to have a preview of what will happen on a stage before actually being in the theatre. Is that correct ?

In general the Monitor window is kind of stupid. It just monitors the current DMX values and represents them as numbers (DMX mode) or colors (2D view), so it knows nothing about the current cue or which functions are running.

Hello Massimo,
You're right, the goal was to have a preview of all scenes with lights and sounds before building infrstructure. it is to share with other persons from theatre group the "virtual" play in order to discuss on it and commit.
There can be a workaround by creating a project in qlc+ for each change on scene.

Last question please:
Is it possible to chain projects within QLC+ ? If yes, do we have to create a master project to do that ?

Thanks a lot for this very strong software.

I implemented this !
Right now on GIT if you build from sources.

By the way what do you mean by "chain projects" ?

Thank you Massimo. I will try to build it on Win7 32bit

Chaining project is an idea to launch projects in sequence, from a master project. Like a call in a program.

Compilation done under WIN7 32Bit
It works fine!
Thank you Massimo, simple and efficient implementation.
