i had qlc+ live on air today and it worked perfectly. i made a mistake while programming the show and had to improvise a lot and still no troubles at all. so once again a big thank you!

the three things that crossed my mind a lot where these:

1. i have troubles getting the information out of the dmx monitor, since there is no option to highlight the active dmx channels (but i think i will solve it with the 2d view), but still this would be a very nice feature

2. it would be a big step, if there was any kind of visual feedback as to crossfades taking place in a chaser (cuelist). a simple countdown clock inside the cuelist would help tremendously

3. is there a way to jump directly to a cue inside the cuelist while running without stepping through the rest of the list? maybe i just didn't find the solutions yet, but it often is quite important, when improvising, to jump to a specific cue

thanks again, i am looking forward to tomorrow and another live session with qlc+ :)

Hi Sebastian

Some comments:

1. I agree with this - I think it would great if one can have a widget that goes on the virtual console where I can pick the channels I want to monitor. The 2D is fantastic but it only shows some channels and on my Windows machine, it makes it run quite hot, so I do not use it in live mode. Also, the monitor is floating separately - this is great, but in performance when one needs the real estate and the monitor cannot be put on top. Also when one controls some widget (like XY) from an external player one needs to see the values of just those channels prominently to ensure you cue accurately.

2. A progress bar somewhere on the cue list would be perfect.

3. not sure what OS you are using but I also found that on Windows, clicking (single or double) on a different member of the cue list did nothing. What does work on Windows is click & pressing enter. I have suggested that the app traps double click but I am not sure this is easily doable.

1. as it turns out you are right. the 2d view pushes my win7 into overdrive. i would prefer the same view of the monitor as it is now, just with the option to highlight the active channels.

3. this actually works, only problem are the out and in fade times. the show i am running right now has almost only cut cues, but then again a few fades. so when jumping from a cut cue to a fade cue, the lights go dark and fade in again. but i need some serious testing aroung this whole matter, before i can make a useful statement. when resolving in a console matter as to type in another cue on the b fader with a specific given crossfade, i guess things would get out of hand concerning the whole qlc structure.
