Hello,

I'm VERY new to all of this, so sorry if my question seems too simple.

I just bought an Enttec Open DMX interface and tried it with QLC+ (4.13.1).
I configured the only LED PAR (4) I have at home (cheap chinese) to familiarise with the software and I think I've got it so far.

Since I work as a tech in a nearby venue, I also configured the fixtures that are in use there. We have 29 LEKO (simple dimmers), 30 LED PAR (xFocus RGBA) and 4 general light for the public (dimmers).
I brought my laptop and tried the setup.

The configuration is okay, but after only a couple of minutes, QLC+ started to act strangely.

Using only the Simple Desk, the software was very sluggish. To a point where I was not able to move the cursors with my mouse. Like if something was eating up the CPU of USB port, I dont know.

Could someone help me understand what could be the problem?
I know that the Pro version of the Enttec interface would probably be better, but I cant imagine that moving one slide (dimmer) at a time is a big choir for a 13th generation Intel Core i3 CPU...

Thanks for any advice.

Can you post your workspace project, OS you use and some info of your setup?.

Could be a "Power Saving" issue.
If your laptop is running on battery and your Enttec is receiving power from your laptop, it might be that your operating system tries to shut down USB channels to save power.
Change the power saving settings (use an adapter for your laptop or use a powered USB hub for your Enttec).
A QLC Workspace is like a Bob Ross painting: "it's your world, you can create whatever you want!"
