I know this isn't a legal forum but....
I know using lasers outdoors and shining into the sky can be a problem and get you in trouble if the lasers hit planes but are there any regulations on other outdoor lights? I recently purchased some moving head beam lights (10R-275 watt) lights that make nice beams outdoors with no fog. I am estimating they go 100-150 feet in the air. Would these be subject to regulations like lasers? Anyone had any trouble using LED or halogen lights that shine upward for outdoor events?

Depending on what airspace is defined above your venue, this might become a costly problem.
Where I live, an airspace regulation strictly prohibits sky beams. Even then, you will have to demand an official allowance so officials know your intentions. It has been known that UFO activity has been repeatedly reported on previous occasions.

All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore
