Hi all

Reasonably new here so be kind..

Working through some of the tricks I used to use before QLC+

Red and Blue "chase" to look like a police car outside a window, could do it reasonably well on my old board but have a problem figuring what I need in QLC

Simply added 2 dimmer channels, say one for the blue and one for the red

Then what ?

Thanks
Max

Create 2 scenes (or more). Add the dimmer and set its level.
Create a chaser and add those scenes.
Timing can be set by using the clock symbol in the chaser window. You are looking for the hold time.

You could also do the same with a sequencer. I'd stick to the chaser for now; it's more intuitive.

Now I really feel silly, why couldn't I see that yesterday...
Almost a waste of your time

Funny, I was thinking of the same situation when learning QLC+ for the first time. Specifically, the show 'Rumors' when the police car comes up the driveway. Red/Blue lights would be seen outside the window of the house.
The scene needs to have the lights for the interior of the house up and the red/blue police lights.
In my mind, I "accomplished" this with a collection inside your main show chaser. Scene- House -> Collection with two scenes- House and Police. This allows the house lights to stay on and a scene of alternating Red/Blue lights to play as long as you need. Then move onto another copy of the House scene when you're done with the lights. So House Scene-> Collection (House and Police scenes run together) -> House Scene.

There are probably a few ways of accomplishing the goal, but this is what I came up with in my mind. Never put it in practice, it was a past show I was trying to run "what if" scenarios when learning QLC+.
