Hey y’all
When I add fixtures to my fixture tab for generic rgb there is no dimmer knob. I’ve watched so many videos but none address using generic

That's because a RGB striplight (that's the only thing I've been using generic RGB fixture with) has no dimmer channel, just the three colour channels.
You may be able to use this with fixtures supplying just these 3 channels in one of their builtin modes, otherwise better write a dedicated fixture definition...
Think of this generic fixture as just a cheap and quick template for RGB strips or units.
