From years I manage small light shows (concerts) with QLC+ on a MacBook with ENTTEC DMX USB PRO ; this use has two drawbacks : my Mac is immobilized to this activity and the Mac / USB-DMX connexion is very capricious. So I decide to make an standalone DMX console with a Raspberry PI.
The hardware is :
- RPI 3 Model B+,
- a 10.1" 1280x800 Waveshare screen using HDMI and USB connections,
- a vireless Rii keyboard with touchpad,
- a USB 5V 8A power supply with 4 ports,
- the ENTTEC USB DMX Pro for DMX,
- and an USB audio interface.
You can see a complete description (in french ) on a french forum.
However, I have two little problems :
- the QLC+ window is resizable in height but has a minimal size of 1300px in width ; it is a little larger than my screen. On Mac and Linux the window is resizable freely in the two dimensions.
- In 'audio editor' I can connect an audio sample but it is not played on the audio interface that is defined as default at system level ; the same sample is well played by VLC
