Hi all, I just discovered this software and it seems really great.
I am planning on using this to run my Christmas light show and I was wondering if it is possible to have it auto start a series of shows at a selected time?
if there is no feature within the software is there a something I can do on the control line to auto start? I was thinking I could setup something with cron to start the QLC+ at 7:00pm but I can't figure out how to have it auto start a show. I've tried
qlcplus -o "./2015 christmas.qxw" -p -w --nogui
but it will not start the show.
Any help would be great

Also I noticed a small bug, in show mode it doesn't matter where you have the time index marker at, hitting play will always start a mp3 file at the start, its a minor issue however it makes sync the effects to the music abit difficult.

If it matter I am running this on ubuntu linux 14.02

Hi Welcome to QLC+,

I have been thinking of setting up a Christmas show up using QLC as well, but it is only in the ideas stage at the moment ;)

First answer to the question about timed starts is have a look at the clock function on the Virtual Console page, see if that will work for you.

Not sure why your command line isn't working, but I do believe that --nogui is a Raspberry Pi only option.

The issue with the show audio is a known problem and I don't know if there is an easy fix in the software side of things, but a work round is to split the audio in to multiple smaller parts. I believe that the system also prefers .WAV files better as well, as some people have had issues with .MP3

Actually I'm just wondering, what version of QLC you are running, as I am running 4.10.0 and the show mode is starting the audio from the marker on mine, and I have tried with MP3, FLAC and WAV.

Ps. Do let us see your show once it is done, always interested in what people are doing.

Thank you very much! the clock in VC works prefect :)

I am running 4.10.1, can converting the MP3 to WAV fixed the problem with the audio

I'll also share the show once it's done. It's still a work in progress. I'm waiting for some of the hardware to show up and I'm making some snow flakes,etc....
