Hey,
While I have seen Arduino art net nodes, i was wondering if it was at all possible to get the Raspberry PI to output artnet. I have done a little bit of research and I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything. Could anyone give me some pointer or just let me know if this isn't possible. Thanks!
Raspberry PI outputting artnet

What do you exactly need?
Do you mean accept Artnet and output DMX?
Besides QLC+ (see http://qlcplus.org/docs/howto-input-output-mapping.html, search for "Passthrough"), OLA (https://www.openlighting.org/ola/) is good candidate.

Hey,
Basically i'd like QLC+ to output art net which we would be converting to standard XLR. So for instance if i enabled ArtNet on QLC+ would that come out of the PI's ethernet port or would i still need to attach an artnet node?
Sorry for sounding stupid, first time messing with ArtNet.

I believe that artnet node is a name for device that either accepts artnet on ethernet port and outputs DMX on XLR or vice versa.
So, the device that would convert artnet to xlr is your artnet node.
Finally,
QLC+ is able to output artnet, so if you need artnet from Raspberry, you don't need anything more.
Additionally, QLC+ is able to accept artnet and output it on XLR (using either UART port + some converters, or using USB DMX converter)
and it is able also to do the opposite - listen to XLR and output artnet. Anything you want

Oh wow, so essentially if i have the PI, enable ArtNet output, i should be outputting from the ethernet?
So for instance, I'd have my show programmed on my PI > output to artNet
So if i want that then to go out on XLR i'd need the node? I ask as I've seen XLR to RJ45 convertors.

Tom, RJ45 is one thing, XLR is another.
ArtNet per-se has nothing to do with XLR, unless you use something like this: http://dmxking.com/artnetsacn
If your ultimate goal is to output on a XLR, you don't need ArtNet at all. You just need a DMX USB adapter.
If you instead need to transmit ArtNet from a node (e.g. your PC) and use a Raspberry Pi to convert ArtNet into a XLR, you'll need a DMX USB adapter in any case.
QLC+ on the Raspberry Pi supports everything: ArtNet input, ArtNet output, DMX USB output

Please this forum is to talk about QLC+. Can you at least Google before asking ?
