On the Virtual Console, slider controls can be set into "submaster" mode, where they control the intensity of any function that's placed inside the same frame or solo frame.
It seems that similar functionallity doesn't exist for timers; they can only be assigned to adjust the fade in/out time of specifically-named functions.
It would be nice if a fade timer can be similarly placed in submaster mode, to affect the fade in/out time of any button press within the frame. This would simplify setting up the virtual console, and ensure that the time is properly applied, because you couldn't "forget" to make it apply.
