I use the behringer FCB1010 to activate my QLC+ virual console buttons via MIDI. However, I'm having a little problem. Occasionally the foot pedal maybe doesn't get pressed perfectly, maybe it gets quickly double tapped, maybe it's some sort of software issue, I'm not sure, but it occasionally sends two identical signals milliseconds apart when I press a pedal. (I think the pedals send Program Change, but I don't know if that's relevant.) The problem is that it apparently sends two signals within milliseconds of each other, therefore toggling the QLC+ button ON and then immediately toggling it OFF again. Worse, my QLC+ buttons activate chasers, so if the first step in the chaser is 10 seconds long, I won't know that the button got accidentally toggled off for a full 10 seconds, when the scene should change but didn't, and now the timing of the whole thing is going to be off. Very frustrating.

I would love to have a way to prevent accidental double-taps... double-push? double-sends?... maybe a way to ignore a second identical signal if it's received within 0.25 seconds of the original... something like that. That's something I imagine might already exist in QLC+ that I just don't know about. Anyone got any ideas?

Further down the road, if people are still updating QLC+, I could imagine adding a choice when you create a QLC+ button to not only choose "toggle on/off" when a MIDI signal is received, but also an option to *only* toggle On (not Off), or Toggle On/Restart. Then if I send the same signal again, QLC+ would re-start the button instead of toggling it off. I see two advantages. It would fix my double tap problem... if I accidentally send two identical signals within milliseconds of each other, big deal, it will just start the chaser and then restart it a few milliseconds later, no one would be able to tell. Secondly, if I wanted to purposely restart the same chaser repeatedly, like every measure of a verse, I could simply press the same pedal button at the start of every measure and it would re-start the chaser. In order to achieve the same thing right now, I have to dedicate two pedal buttons to the same chaser and alternate between them.
