When running QLC+ without an audio track, everything work great. However, when trying to program my lights to any size audio track its freezes my entire computer at the time (00:00:40 seconds), while continuing to finish playing the audio track. It has no problem finishing the audio track or relinquishing control of computer. Im not sure if it a memory problem or what considering this program can be run off a raspberry pi. I am also having issues with creating new FX. I am using 2 Chauvet Spot 400 IRC fixtures and leaving QLC+ on the circle effect my fixtures do not mimic a circle or any of the corresponding effects in any fashion when trying to do a test run of the effects Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

About the EFX:

I guess the circle effect looks more like an ugly 8 ?
The X and Y coordinates on the EFX control the PAN and TILT channels on your fixture, between 0-255.
Default movement for the EFX editor (a big circle) will make you fixture act all crazy, moving pan and tilt channels from 0 to 255.
Default pan and tilt physical angle range for your ficture are 0-540⁰ and 0-270⁰.
It means that when the point on the circle goes from left to right, your fixture will do one whole turn and a half. (360⁰ + 180⁰)

Try in the simple console, play with the PAN channel, and see how your fixture act when you push it from 0 to 255.
Same with the TILT channel.

Then you can play with the EFX, maybe by reducing the width and height parameters.

hello to you.
Please indicate on which operating system you're running QLC+.
If it's on the Raspberry Pi, then this is the wrong forum.

Also indicate the type of audio file you're playing and eventually share a project file.
Keep in mind that playback of more than one audio at the same time is not supported on most of the platforms.

I have a dell inspiron 560 pentium dual-core with 8 gb ram, windows 7 professional 64-bit. as well i am working with QLC+ 4.7.3. The audio file seems to be a .wav file. it happens as well when previewing the file under the function tab. at the top of the program it shows that QLC+ is not responding however immediately resumes normal functionality when the audio track is finished playing. i also am only running the one audio track at a time.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED ASSISTANCE!
ryan

thank you for your help i have figured it out.

Ryan, next time please open two separate threads for such different topics.

As for the wave file, please provide more information: sample rate, duration, number of channels.
Otherwise if it's not too big, make a zip file and share it here please.

Also, just give a try to the development version here and let me know if it works: https://sourceforge.net/p/qlcplus/discu ... /38b03924/

Thank you Massimo for your assistance! i have converted the audio track to mp3 format and it works great now!

I understand, but if you spotted a real issue, I would like to solve it.
If you can provide the information I asked before, it would help to improve QLC+

Many thanks !
I just tested it with QLC+ on Linux (Qt5) and it works perfectly.
Curious that it also displays the bitrate: 97 kb/s

It means there's something wrong with Windows. I'll test this later and see if I find any issue.
