Hi!

Is there a chance that the DMX4all NanoDMX will be supported by QLC+? That would be great!

Hi, is the device recognized by QLC+ ?
Flo

No, at the moment it is not recognized at all. I don't know what chipset it contains. The Windows driver creates a virtual COM port which is used by applications like DMXControl or Freestyler.

If it helps: There is a "DLL development" downloadable on this site: http://www.dmx4all.de/software.html
But I'm no programmer so I don't know how much time and effort it would be to implement it.
Massimo Callegari

Well, the DLL doesn't help cause it's close source and works only in Windows.
A while back a user sent me his Stageprofi and I implemented it on all the OSes.
The DMX4ALL products should use all the same VID:PID and the same protocol.
Are you able to tell me the USB VID (vendor ID) and PID (product ID) of the nano device ?

In windows you should find them in the control panel device properties.
If it's just a matter of a different PID, it shouldn't be difficult to add it.

The working StageProfi has these IDs:
vendor ID: 0403 (Future Technology Devices International Limited)
product ID: c850

The IDs of the NanoDMX interface are:
vendor ID: 03eb (Atmel Corporation)
product ID: 2018

So these interfaces are made by different companies and just relabeled by DMX4All - do I understand that correctly?
Jano Svitok

These devices are created by taking a chip from a vendor (in these cases FTDI and Atmel), that implements the USB to serial conversion, adding support components (e.g. RS232 to RS485 conversion, power supply, optical isolation) and a box around it all.

This means that the nano device is based on a different chip than stageprofi, and that it turn may or may not mean a complication.

Hi, I've got this information from DMX4ALL support team as well.
The nanoDMX is not based on a FTDI chip, so at the moment it's not supported by QLC+.
I requested them if they can send me a couple of samples (one stageprofi and one nano). Let's see if they're interested.

Can I do something further to help? Maybe run a test software or anything like that?
