Step button for chases

My old DMX console had a step button and I can't figure out how to recreate that in QLC. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't know if this is possible through some other means, but it would be nice if the Speed Dials had an "Enable/Disable" or "Auto/Manual" button where Enable would work as it normally does, and when Disabled, the Tap button would function as a Step button to manually step through a chase. This would also be good so when the Audio Trigger is operating the Speed Widget, the chase would stop when the music beat stopped.

O, one other thing. I would be nice if the Speed Dial could give feedback to the Midi button associated with the tap function.

Hope this hasn't already been discussed, I couldn't find it. Thanks, Fred

Add a VC cuelist for that chaser. It has next/prev buttons. The next button can be also controled from the audio triggerwidget.

OK, tried that and it does work. But appears I'd have to do a cue list for each chase.

I'd rather have a way to control the speed dial so it would control all the chases assigned to it. Was playing with the Speed Dial presets. Wish I could add a button there that would cause the Speed Dial to run manually.

You can have 100 cue list widgets, hide them, and assign all of the 'NEXT' buttons to the same input.

If you want to have a 'global NEXT button' to appear on the virtual console, you can you the loopback plugin.

A speed dial does not run. What do you mean ?

What I meant was, I can add presets, one being infinity, that appears to make the timer stop. You can add a one second preset that would make the speed dial run at one second. I wish you could add a manual step preset where you would have to hit the tap button to make the chase, or whatever is running from the timer, advance to the next step.

Does that make any since?

I'll play with Cue Lists more. This is probably where my solution will be. I've been trying to use QLC for about a year now and there's just so much to get your head around. The basics are very easy, but It's one of those things that it can probably do anything you want with it, but it's SO flexible, you have to figure out what you want it to do. The more I learn, the more to start all over to do it better. It's like trying to design a high end lighting console from scratch, but any way you want it ! ! ! :) :) :)

Yes, it makes sense, thanks. You want to send a TAP to the chaser but without changing its duration.
