Q Light Controller+

Hello,

I have a Mac El Capitan 10.11.2 and an USB device ENTTEC opendmx usb. I viewed the 4 first video tutorials, read the manual and read the topics here concerning this problem on the forum. I also followed the advise of Massimo on this forum concerning uninstalling FTDI Drivers on OS X.

After two days work, there is no light coming on my Showtec Compact PAR 18 MKII!! I am quite desperate (but not a housewife )

Could you please help me to solve the problem.

I wanted to use Enttec open dmx usb on my macbook with el capitan 10.11.1 - but it doesn`t work...

Please, could you help us?

Try to uninstall and reinstall qlc. One day I have had the same problem and I have done thus. But the SO is not 10.11.2

My DMX-interface is listed in QLC+, but it doesn`t work...

Do you have any other ideas?

I was under the impression that the Open DMX is not working under 10.11 (without some fairly serious hacks, anyways) at all. Unless something has changed, I know this was the case when 10.11 came out. I have both Open DMX and DMX Pro units and while the Pro works fine, the Open DMX shows up correctly (as others have experienced) but no DMX is sent. I've held off on upgrading to 10.11 on my machine that has only an Open DMX unit for that reason. If someone does have it working, I'd love to hear...

it seems to be a QLX-Problem with the ENTTEC OpenDMXusb only on a mac.
Yesterday, I tried the ENTTEC interface with my daughters windows-laptop and QLC+ - and it worked fine!
I really don`t know how I can get it to work with the macbook.
But I need a running system.
So ENTTEC DMX PRO is working with OSX 10.11.1?
Perhaps I should buy this one?

I contacted the ENTTEC - support, but they couldn`t help and they said that its a QLC+ - problem.
Any ideas?

Is the problem solved in the meantime? Because her it's the same thing: ENTTEC Open DMX gives no output to the lights when it is used with either iMac 7 or MacBook. Everything goes fine with XP or WIN10.

Ah, that's helpful, I hadn't seen that thread and was under the impression that there still wasn't any way to do this without basically disabling the kernel protection.
