Q Light Controller+

How easy is it to map the Allen & Heath Xone K:2 midi controller.

I started to have a look into it this morning and there is a lot to do, and i can't get QLC plus to connect to the midi controller.
I've used midi monitor to check to see if I'm getting signals from the controller to my macbook (yosemite 10.10.5) and using qlc+ 4.10.1
Any simple ideas i'm missing?

What do you mean ?
Is the device displayed in the input/output panel ?
Which MIDI channel does it use ?
Do you see any blinking joystick in QLC+ when you move a control on the device ?
