First time poster, we just gave QLC+ a shot last week after purchasing an Enttec PRO Mk2. I'm really impressed! This is a huge improvement over the Elation Show Designer we were using.
Here's the definition for one of our two fixtures. I'll submit the other one after someone reviews this one so I can correct mistakes in the second (Blizzard Flurry5) before submitting. Thanks!
Manual, detailed DMX info on Page 15:

Hi,
Can I ask about channels 8 and 9 for this fixture before I say anything else...
Ch. 8: 033 <--> 65 Red+Green (R same, G brighter) - WTF? Brighter than what??? R is the same as what? I see you have had a go at the Click & Go colours - are they based on your experience of actually using the fixture? I suppose they must be since the manual tells us nothing.
Ch. 9: 010 <--> 063 R+B - Are these functions that cycle between colours somehow? I'd be inclined to make consistent use of either R, G, B... or Red, Green, Blue..., rather than the random choices demonstrated in the manual (Red, G, Blue, White, A etc. etc.).
For the Intensity channels, remove 'Intensity' from the channel name (it's described by the channel group) and replace 'xyz Intensity' in the capability with '0% <--> 100%'. This removes the duplication and recreates all the information from the manual.
Good job with the physical information. Only about 30% of the fixtures posted on here have that entered in for all channels, if at all.

Thanks for the feedback! I've made edits to the intensity channels as you listed.
Finally, from looking around boxy, it's apparent that you do a great job handling the fixture definitions. What can I do that will make less work for you? Make a pull request in GitHub for the next definition file instead of posting on the forum? Make a pull request ~and~ post on the forum (to help people out between versions)?
My thoughts exactly - I really struggled on this one though after reading your post on how to enter info ("5. Where it is ambiguous what to put in the capability extract the info from the manual.") and Massimo's post ("A fixture should reflect the exact indications given in the product user manual"). Between Channel 8 and 9, the lights will cycle through colors without getting DMX updates (e.g. slow fade through red, then green, then purple, etc). It seems like one controls the color selection, while the other channel has something to do with the speed. I will have my hands on the fixtures tonight and try to puzzle out exactly what is going on between these two channels in more definitive terms. What might be a good way to express the slow fade cycles in the capabilities?Ch. 8: 033 <--> 65 Red+Green (R same, G brighter) - WTF? Brighter than what??? R is the same as what?
For purposes of consistency then it's ok to deviate from what the manual indicates? Your post mentioned fixing bad English/typos but I wasn't sure how far it was ok to go with changes. Keeping consistency sounds good, but I can see why they did what they did in the manual when they get down to R+B+G+W+A sections. Is it best to just use abbreviations through the whole thing in that case?Ch. 9: 010 <--> 063 R+B - Are these functions that cycle between colours somehow? I'd be inclined to make consistent use of either R, G, B... or Red, Green, Blue..., rather than the random choices demonstrated in the manual (Red, G, Blue, White, A etc. etc.).

Hi Kacela,
I fork the repo on github then clone that locally and use command line git. When a fixture def. is ready (created/edited corrected) I then push the fixture up after commiting it. Finally, I enter links to datasheets etc and create the pull request for Massimo.
Not everybody uses git so you could still post fixtures on here to make them searchable. If you plan on doing a lot of definitions I would post on here first for now - sanity/peer review checks always find the odd bug/issue.
