Cameo Multi Par 3 / HQ Power Tri Spot

I'd be very grateful if someone was able to help out by creating a fixture definition for these lights.

The cameo bar is a bit more complicated as it has several modes including a 21 channel DMX setting but the HQ Power Tri Spot is more straightforward with just 1 set of 7 channels.

Can anyone help please?

It's my first venture into trying to control lights for a simple theatre show with a program like this. It looks great. Fingers crossed!

I though Velleman only did kits...

Try the attachment for HQ Power. The other is on is its way.

Thanks boxy! Most kind.

I've managed to download the HQ Fixture definition and put it in the right folder on my PC - which seems to work and I can select it as a fixture in the program. However, I need to use it on my Macbook for portability and can't seem to get the fixture into the folder. I've found the fixture folder on the Macbook and have tried to move it across but it won't let me. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Cheers.

Martin

Never used a Mac. Does what's below make any sense?

A:
The user folder is where user fixtures, input profiles, RGB scripts and MIDI templates go.
It changes depending on your operating system:
Linux: it is a hidden folder in your user home directory: $HOME/.qlcplus
Windows: it is a folder in your user (e.g. MyUser) directory: C:\Users\MyUser\QLC+
OSX: it is located in your user "Library" directory: $HOME/Library/Application\ Support/QLC+
You can reach any of these folders from a terminal with the 'cd' command. For example:

cd $HOME/Library/Application\ Support/QLC+

I'm new to a Mac myself.

I did see that note on the website but it didn't help I'm afraid. I found the general fixtures folder but not a users one. I'll keep hunting....

What ?
A Candy Crush user .??? :)

the easiest is to right-click on the program and open the package contents and copy the file to the Content / Fixture folder ..

Add on :)

Thank Boxy

Thanks very much!

I suspect that did take some time and I am very grateful. Many thanks.

I now hope to be able to get my head around the rest of the software and do something constructive with it!

Fingers are still very much crossed.

Martin - yes, in Manchester (are you watching me?.......)

Quick search on Rocket Theatre out of curiosity.

Used the software and the fixtures you set up for the first time at a live show last weekend.

All very simple but it worked a treat. I hope to get more experimental and will start to create cue lists rather than just buttons.

All good though! Thanks again.

Also need to try to hand make some sort of barn door situation or shutters on the spot. It's a basic and cheap spot and could be even more useful with some shutters. Hmmm. Wood or metal? I might have a play around.
