Q Light Controller+

Hi there,

I am using version 4.10.1 on a raspberry pi 2.

I noticed that sometimes popup windows appear as black boxes instead of having all the normal things in them. It can only be solved with a reboot.

I found one way i can reliably reproduce it:

From a fresh boot into an empty show. The only things plugged in are an allen&heath k1 midi controller, usb keyboard and usb mouse. Using hdmi to dvi into an lcd monitor running at 1280x1024.
If i open and close the help window 14 times, on the 14th time it is always just a black box.

I have also seen it on other popup windows but i am trying to find a reliable reproduce for those.

I hope i have give enough information to be of some use. I am a software engineer myself and i know how difficult it can be to investigate problems with little information.

Same setup as above, but without the k1 midi controller. Fresh boot into an empty show. Click stop to enter design mode. Click Add Fixture and then cancel. Do this 24 times and it will show a black box the last time and every time after this.

Also, after doing this, the Add RGB Panel, Help and About buttons all show black boxes first time in.

I have seen it and I'm afraid it's a bug of the Qt 5.5.1 libraries
Unfortunately at the moment there's not much that I can do, other than report the issue in the Qt bug tracking system and hope they will fix it.
I can try Qt 5.6.0 which is now in beta stage, but it's not guaranteed to fix the problem.

What I can say is that QLC+ on the Raspberry Pi is not meant to do project design. You should do it on a QLC+ desktop installation and then transfer the workspace via web interface.

I know project design isn't really supposed to be done on the raspberry pi, but it's so close to working perfectly it's hard not to!

Thanks for all your hard work. When i have finished renovating my house i fully intend to contribute towards this project, it's such a useful tool.
