[idea] XY Pad and Keyboard Arrow Keys and Focus

If i click on pointer of XY Pad and press Keyboard Arrow Keys i can move the point

this is great

but if i click in the scope of the XY Pad i can't move the pointer
then, every time i want to control the pointer with the keyboard arrow keys, i have to click on the small point
This requires a lot of attention to avoid moving too the point.

It would be better that when click on the perimeter (outside the area of movement of the pointer), the arrow keys do move the pointer?

....i think that would be very useful also can move Up and Down the Sliders using the up and down keyboard arrow keys.
