Bug report: Capabilities for Shutter not written in English breaks DMX Monitor

Hey guys,

just experienced an issue which took me a lot of time to figure out although it's just a minor problem:

I am German and my fixture files that I do not want to upload (because they are not very tidy..) are always written in German.
This produces the issue that QLC does not know which DMX range on a Shutter channel is open and closed since it only recognizes those two english words.

I know that telling QLC all the words for open and closed in all the languages is a whole lot of work.
So for now I would suggest a note in the Fixture Definition editor to advice the people to write the fixtures in english even if they don't want to upload them.
I also have not found this note in the help atleast in the time searching for the problem.
This could save someone a whole lot of time searching for the issue.. :D

Thanks for the awesome work. QLC is a great piece of software and makes my light shows a whole lot better. :)

Hehe, you are right.

I will add this info somewhere. Ideal solution would be to explicitly mark the ranges, but it's a lot of work,
so I for now I created this "autodetection"... which has its limits.

Can you send me your fixture definition so that I can check what happens with German names? (attach here or attach to PM or find my email - hint: github :) )

I would say this should be solved in the fixture definition editor, where one can write an arbitrary capability name in any language and then "mark" the capability with a functionality. Ideally these would be necessary:
- shutter open
- shutter closed
- strobe specific speed in Hz
- strobe speed range in Hz

Jano I think you proposed this before and I understand it requires a lot of work (and reviewing all the existing fixtures....)
If implemented though, the 2D (and then 3D) preview would reflect exactly the behaviour of a light.
My TODO list is full, so unfortunately I cannot work on this

Hey,

if you are all busy with other stuff then just write a note in the fixture definition editor which explains the problem.
I think for most of the people english is not a problem if they made it to the point of writing their own fixtures. :)

I have attached the fixture files here.
I think the bug I experienced was: when the Shutter is closed (value 0), the Dimmer value shows on the DMX monitor 2D view anyways.
