Idea: Easybulb/Milight/Limitlessled Integration

I recently purchased a set of Easybulb led lights with a wifi bridge. It is also possible to control these lights by sending UDP packets to the ip address of the Wireless Bridge. I was able to turn them on and off using a script in QLC+. You can find the API for these bulbs at http://easybulb.com/api/.
Is it possible to integrate these bulbs better into QLC+? I was thinking that the pieces are there to create a plugin but I'm not a programmer and don't know where to start. Is there a way to convert DMX commands (or another supported output) to network packages as a crude way to make this work?
