I am wanting to create a complex chase, I want to run three timed scenes, then on scene 4 hold until a trigger is called then after scene 4, zero out scene 3.

Currently, the scenes can't overlap, so you have to construct them with this in mind.
If you want to wait for trigger, set individual step time for that particular step to infinite, and press next button in the right moment.
