Behavior of Frame and Solo Frame when they´re nested in one other

Hey guys,

im kind of new in this business.
For quite a while now, Im managing a club at my University. A couple of events every week and a lot of people who just haven´t got an idea of using an usual DMX Controller (Behringer LC2412 Eurolight). Cause i can not help them all the time, i had the idea using QLC+ with an USB-Interface. It´s just so nice to work with it. The virtual console is a perfect tool to provide an understandable and easy-to-use DMX contoller for people with no clue.
How ever, now i´ve got one problem:

I wanted to use a solo Frame and put two "normal" Frames in it, witch i call Frame1 and Frame2 for now.
In Frame1 i just put a lot of Fader two control a few RGB-PAR56 manually. In Frame2 i put a few Chaser. Now after the people played a bit manually they maybe just start a chaser. So all the manual settings should be erased automatically and the chaser should run.

I guess you all know thats not possible or i just don´t know how it works :) . The problem is:

When i put a "normal" Frame in a solo Frame, the solo Frame will hand down his attributes to the "normal" Frame. Just one Fader can be activated at a time.
Is the inheritance of attributes from a solo Frame to a frame necessary in professional using of QLC+ (im a beginner ;) )?
Is it possible that the solo Frame just deactivates Frame1 itself if i choose to work in Frame2?
If i want a Frame nested in an solo Frame, but with the same attribute, i also could use a solo Frame.

I hope my issue, feedback and idea is understandable. If not im happy to answer any Question.

Thanks for your Help!

Classic intro question: can you attach your QXW file here together with all required fixture definitions (except those from standard QLC+ installation)?
What's your QLC+ version (the latest one - 4.8.5)?

I didn't investigate yet, just guessing: it may be that solo frame works with functions i.e. the scenes that faders and buttons run.
If you created faders in level mode, you may have better luck if you create scenes for each channel (scene with only one channel set to 255)
and set the faders to playback mode. Note that it most probably will work only for HTP (i.e. dimmer, R,G,B,W,..) channels.

I didn't test this idea, I didn't check the code, it's a hint that you may try.

Hey,

i found a solution im satisfied with.
I just got to know the funktion "Script Editor". How i sad, im a beginner :-).

I wrote a script which turns off all Scenes of my single RGB-Lights control.
Than i put it in a collection together with the chaser i wanna start.
So when the people now play a bit with the faders to control the Room RGB-Lights and decide to run a chaser, they don´t have to think about turning down the faders, cause their Scene-Funktions will stop automatically.

Im using QLC+ now for only one week and i already love it! Im looking forward to see how it works on my RPI 2. :)
