Audio triggers ubuntu 14.04

Hi all,
I have trouble getting the audio triggers to work on ubuntu 14.04.
I use linux for some time now, on my old laptop all works fine but a fresh install on my new laptop broke the whole thing.
Other programs can record and play sound but qlc can not capture any audio. I only see the default audio device, no mic or line in.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
