rs485

I found out that dmx512 is just renamed RS485 i know how to conect it to cabel but i am not sure it it will work... reason usb to rs485 is much cheaper ther usb to dmx, so will it work device have this chip CH341D

Pepo,
since I suppose that none of the developers has device based on ch341, so there is no first hand experience.
I suggest you look ad designs based on FTDI chips (FT232 etc.) which are supported and known to work.
I don't think it is possible to do any cheaper than e.g.

I suggest you add to raw the price of the chip also the cost of your time to make it work and the cost of any problems when the chip stops working...

try to follow this guide to make your own usb-dmx interfaces using a usb-rs485 interface. It's really simple and easy to do. It's works with qlc+ and others softwares, I use it in mac with qlc+ and works like a charm!!

just make sure you don't buy a usb to rs-485 dongle with the ch340 chip...make sure its FT232RL!
