Hi all,
Does anybody uses usbdmx.com interface with QLC+ ?
I'm a beginner and I try run QLC+ under Vista, and whatever the way it is launched (user or admin) the result is the same : no output on my interface, while the interface is recognized in QLC+
Thank you for your help.

Hi Harry,
Thx for your answer.
Which driver did you uninstall ?
On PC, I installed first FTDI driver, and the interface seems to be recognized by QLC+ because I can assign I/O ports to it.
But no fixture lights on, even in the output renderer.
I'm lost...
QLC+ seems to be a very great SW, easy to use, and user oriented but I cannot go further
I'll post if I can find a solution.

Does this mean you can see NO OUTPUT INSIDE QLC+ (e,g. in the 2D view)?
If that is the case, are you sure you have your shutter/dimmer/color channels set properly?
Can you check values in DMX monitor? I.e. that shutter is open and dimmer is above 0% etc.
Post your workspace file (qxw), any custom fixture definitions that you use in the workspace,
and step by step process how to reproduce the problem.
If 2D view and especially DMX monitor show correct (expected) values, then it is a different story...
What exact drivers did you install? How are your fixtures wired?

Hi janosvitok,
I tried now under W7 with the new 4.8.5 release of QLC+ and it seems better ('it seems' because, I found some unstability when I clicked on the toolbox once the interface selected).
Now I can see changes on the monitor window when I move the cursor but still nothing on my fixture.
The fixture is a ADJ Ultre Hex PAR3 and the qxw file is the one in QLC+ library.
I made a lot of tests and checks, cable, fixture with a HW DMX console, and so on.
I always find a test passed OK whatever the element being checked (interface, cable, fixture) but the only one that I cannot be sure is ... the SW !
The driver loaded is CDM v2.12.00 WHQL Certified.exe from FTDI.
I tried to use the loopback test downloaded from usbdmx.com and it runs !
If you have any idea, thanks !

Another idea: go to simple console, and pull some channel after your fixtures to 255 (e.g. if your last used channel is 130, pull for example 131 or 140).

I set the fixture to base address 1, so it matches with the declarations done in the sw. In this mode, 8 channels are used to set R, V, B, W, A, UV, Master and Strobe respectively.

can anybody help me please ?
I try to run QLC+ with usbdmx.com interface but in vain.
I installed the FTDI drivers, and the I/F is seen as a usb serial converter in the device manager. I also declared a virtual com port.
the interface is seen by QLC+ as ENTTEC compatible and is declared as running correctly after QLC startup.
When I click on the tool icon (I/O folder) QLC crashes.
when I dont click, no frame is emited, my fixture is not controled.
Windows 7, QLC+ 4.9.1 (or 3.8.5)
THANK YOU !!

I updated my ftdi driver with v2.12.04.
the COM port is set to COM6 (default). When I open the icon tools in the tab Input/Output, the interface is seen as USB <-> DMX, mode Open TX.
when I close the window, an error message occurs:
"an error occured when trying to open the peripheral line selected.
This can be due to a wrong system configuration a an input/ouput mode not supported.
Please refer to the plgin documentation."
the same message is displayed when the COM port is set to COM 1.
I know by the designer of the interface (Ben Suffolk at usbdmx.com) that the protocol supported is DMX USB.
thank you for your help.
