For programmation of scenes: wouldn't be usefull if selecting the channel groups we could select the fixtures too?
I guess this is the most common scenario and we can always de-select the fixture that we don't want to use.
This would make the process much faster.
Regards and thanks for the software.
group selection
Not sure I understand.
When you edit a scene you have two lists: fixtures (on the left) and channels groups (on the right)
Of course you can select the fixtures and the channels you want to use in that scene

Hi Massimo,
I try to explain it better:
if I want to edit a scene using the channel groups (on the right) I've anyway to select the fixture too, otherwise the channel groups doesn't do anything - at least on qlc+ 4.4.0.
This is a double selection for each scene.
This procedure takes a lot of time especially if you work with many dimmers,
like usually in theatre or dance.
I think it would be much faster (and useful in my case) to select the fixtures directly by selecting the channel groups, I guess this is the most wide use of channel groups (we can always choose to exclude items after).
In a way for a similar reason, working with many dimmers, I would ask you to watch this topic:
https://sourceforge.net/p/qlcplus/discu ... 9b7c/#45c9
The next Saturday I'm going to use qlc+ for my first time, thanks a lot for your work.

Ok, now maybe I got it.
So you mean that when you select the channels groups, the related fixtures should be automatically added to the fixtures panel on the left ?
If that's the idea, it's not bad. I have to think about it but shouldn't be that difficult to add.

Yes, that's exactly the idea and it would be very useful when editing.
Even more, if not too complicate, each channel group should already enable the fixture channels present in the group itself.
This would really speed up the editing with many moving lights: it would be just a matter of preparing the right channel groups before starting the editing.
