I'm still a noob with this really great software.

In the theatre we have technical set-up rehearsals where we often have to add new scenes or change existing ones. This is done in the chaser editor and the chaser becomes the cue list. The problem is that the only way I can get the edited scene/chaser to display in the context of the cue list, is to start the test run and the go next multiple times until I get the desired cue.

Can we not have a mode that will actually play the cue list entry when I click on it while in design mode? That way I can adjust the scene and see the specific effect quickly and then go o the previous or next cue item.

Another nice edition would be to bring up the scene in edit mode on the left. So if I click on a scene orange/red it will show and the fixture list and sliders display on the left, making it really easy to tweak the scene.

That is a good idea, but for the moment you can click on the scene instead of going in the chaser, when you edit a scene it is displayed by the dmx.

When working on a show one iterates between different components on the cue list. One works with them in the context of what precedes and what follows. While clicking on the scene works, it takes you completely away from the chaser (cue list) you are working with and if it is number 30 in the list the only way to get to it in the context of others scenes in the list is to press test run and then next 29 times. This confuses everybody who is expecting the newly adjusted scene after the current one and then onto the next scene in the chaser.
