would it be possible to map the simple desk to midi so that we can control it by midi as well?

Currently it's not possible. Currently you can only midi map stuff on virtual console.

Hello, I thought I'd just add a +1 to this feature too 
It would be very helpful if it was possible to midi map to the simple desk controls, and also to the faders in the Dimmers tab in the scene editor. It would make the process of designing scenes so much quicker.
By the way, I'm amazed at the progress that qlcplus has made since I tried qlc some time ago. Thanks a lot for making it possible to make perfect shows without needing expensive software or equipment.
