copy functions to other workspaces

Hi,
it would be very nice, if it's possible to copy functions (scense, chaser, EFX ...) from workspace to workspace. So we don't have to reprogram everything, if we make a new workspace or if we want to use this fixture with the same chasers together with other fixtures in another workspace.
What do you think?

Hi, I already thought about it but it would drag in a ton of issues.
For example if you copy a scene using fixtures with DMX addresses already used in the other project it would be a mess.

It's a pity, but I thought as much. Maybe an export or import manager could be a solution to remap the Fixture ID?

Hi - another way to conveniently re-use chasers, effects etc. that are a lot of work to programme might be to allow the creation of subfolders for each type of function to organise them.

That way, an ever-expanding collection of useful bits of programming would not result in an enormously long list of functions. You could use the stuff in the subfolders, or move or copy it out of the subfolders when needed in a new production.

We have all our equipment in one fixture list and don't change DMX allocations except when adding new items, so it would work very well for us.

I think we are heading towards having one large workspace containing everything we've found useful, which gets modified / simplified as needed - easy on the VC by collapsing the frames you don't need.
