Q Light Controller+

Hello guys,

I want to use the QLC Plus software and I use the DMX-510USB interface from IMG-Stage-Line.

Do QLCPlus support that interface? If not could it be implemented?

That interface is used in several other freeware DMX softwares like DMXControl or Freestlyers

Hi, well technically everything is possible.
The two main issues I see here are:

- it seems the manufacturer has Windows-only drivers. QLC+ tries to keep the cross-platform compatibility as much as possible. Also, those drivers are close source, so they couldn't be bundled with QLC+ anyway. That means the adapter won't work out of the box and users will have to install 3rd party software

- integrating and testing a new adapter requires to have the physical adapter. Programming in "blind mode" is something that I've done before without success so now I prefer to have the device in my hands and see how it works with my eyes

So, the two options are:
- you lend me your adapter and then I'll return it back when the integration is done
- make a donation so I can buy the adapter and integrate it

I think we can save that work and I buy an ENTEC-Interface or an Artnet solution. With this things I'm more flexible and they're not so expensive.

Anyway I have problems with the IMG Stage Line interface on my Laptop with Windows 7 64 bit and not many DMX Software uses this interface.
