Stop All Functions fade time not working & other bugs

Hi,
After much frustration I'm trying to set up QLC+ with Qlab for a school to run their theatre. QLab is handling audio, video and sending midi to QLC+ to trigger pre-created scenes via virtual console faders.
This means the end users have to keep track of whatever has been activated via midi and then de-activate it (via another cue) to actually achieve a blackout. They would prefer to simply have a blackout cue that can fade whatever is currently active over an adjustable or predetermined time.
It seems that QLC+ is meant to be able to do this via the Stop All Functions button press parameter. However the fade time on this does not work at all - the time adjust window found here does nothing, and entering a value manually does nothing - it is returned to ".00" after closing and re-opening the button properties. Similarly, fade times on the Stop All Functions button top right do not work - everything is snapped out instantly.
Presumably this is a bug?
I've tried several other ways to do this including functions that target every parameter and fade to zero but nothing I've tried can achieve this.
Using QLC+ 4.8.4a on OS X 10.10.2 on a "Late 2013" iMac (although it was purchased new early 2015, go figure).
I also encountered another bug while trying to work around the issue that involved using 4.8.4's loopback feature. I created another universe (2 of 2) and assigned its inputs and outputs to the loopback plugin but when I exit and re-enter the input/output tab, the new universe has no i/o assigned and universe 1 has changed itself to loopback i/o.
Any help would be appreciated. QLC+ has taken far too much of my time already and I'd really like to be done with this job. Thanks
