Submaster for Sequences not working

Hey,
I am experiencing something weird with sequences:
Until now I almost only used Matrices for Chaselights on my Scanners.
I now tried to manually program them with a Sequence.
I created a scene with the 6 scanners, then a sequence, step 1 is where the shutter of scanner 1 is set to 255, step 2 is where the shutter of scanner 2 is 255 and so on.
With matrices I was able to start them via a button, put them in a frame and set the intensity with a submaster Fader.
For some reason this does not work for the sequence too.
If I leave the master at it's value the sequence seems to ignore it and just sets the intensity to 100.
If I constantly move the fader the sequence changes the values while going trough the steps.
As soon as I let go of the faders it will jump back up to 255 when going to the next step.
Is this a bug or am I missing something?
I am using 4.8.4 on Windows 7 64-bit.
best regards
Daniel
