DMX delay

I am running QLCplus on a windows 7 computer and with an Enttec DMXUSB pro interface. The software is running fine other than an interface connection glitch which I sorted out by uninstalling and re-installing the software. Now I have a new problem. While the software is running lag free, the actual DMX signal seems to be delayed by, in some instances, as much as 10 seconds. For example, If I create a "red scene" for my Chauvet SlimPAR 56's, and click on the "Red" button in the virtual interface tab, the button will appear on screen as selected, but the lights wont execute the command for about 5-10 seconds. The same happens with creating scenes and any other live output. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I'm not sure what exactly. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks...

Hi Zack,
one user from Czech Republic reported similar problem. He said that the problem went out when he only used outputs of the device. I will look up his detailed description and post them here. I was planning to post them for some time, so thank you for posting this.
Massimo, do you have any hint about this?

It happened to me only in some occasions but with the DMX4ALL Stageprofi adapter.
But the ENTTEC Pro should be OK, either input and output simultaneously.
I have a MK2 at home, I'll try to do some tests when I can but when I rewrote the DMX USB plugin I did a lot of tests also on Windows especially on that adapter.
Zack, have you got any particular driver installed or hardware configuration (USB hub, exstension cables, etc) that you forgot to mention ?
Do you have the input line checked as well ?

hello, i just had a similar experience with a long delay between pressing a button and getting a result.
the problem occured 'out of the blue' after everything was working well.
I rebooted my pc and the problem went away.
I'm on linux mint 17 (64bit) and QLCplus 4.8.4
*smiles* to you all.

The guy now said that he didn't notice that you could only use DMX1 IN -OR- DMX1 OUT, not both of them at once. Checking them both makes QLC+ freeze.
From the table in the online help it seems that using MIDI with 2 DMX lines may end up the same...
