Hi All,
I just found out that I cannot control the dimmer channel on my lights once I run a RGBMatrix effect. Of course, the General master works, but since the channels are on HTP, my slider widget cannot control the dimmer anymore, as the RGBMatrix forces is to 255.
Maybe a "intensity" setup feature like in the EFX would be helpful for RGBMatrix as well?
RGBMatrix sets the DIMMER to full - is there a way to disable this?
Just place a slider inside a frame where your button that starts the matrix is in. Set the slider to submaster mode and you can adjust the intensity of your matrix.
Another (and probably even better) way is to start the matrix over an animation widget. The slider for the intensity is already implemented here and you can have one individual slider for every matrix without creating so many frames and sliders.

Hi IDaninator,
Thanks for the tip - it actually is a nice workaround but does not solve my problem where I want to compensate the "brightness" of 2 types of fixtures that I use the Gradient RGBMatrix for
I would simply want the RGBMatrix to forget about the dimmer
Anyway, I'll try and figure it out somehow with the workaround you just told me, so thanks again

You can compensate the fixtures using channel modifiers http://www.qlcplus.org/docs/channelproperties.html
The drawback is that you have to limit the brighter one for the whole time.

Ahoj Jano,
Thanks, I actually use that on Exponential setting because my light does not have a linear light response, but obviously I don't want to be limited to smaller light output for the whole time.
Nevertheless, thanks for the tip on the submaster slider - at least I know what is it for
I'm just getting used to the QLC+ and like it a lot - and in particular this channel modifier is a very nice and clever stuff.
