Disclaimer: I'm a newbie when it comes to DMX and QLC+. But when my 3 year old daugher wants a "cool light show", who am I to say no? That's how if found QLC+; it seems like I'm able to use much of the same equipment I already have for my home studio. And it is totally awesome!
However:
I can't seem to get feedback to my BCF2000. I tried following various guides found on the net, but neither of these states which "Emulation Mode" the BCF2000 has to use. I've tried all of them, but sticking with the Mackie Emulation for Sonar until told otherwise. I've tried u-1, u-2, u-3 and u-4, but the only difference is how the additional MIDI ports show up.
I do see one strange thing though. The BCF2000 is listed twice. One with an input, and that works. I can control virtual dimmers with my hardware dimmers. But the second one has the Output and Feedback listed, and apparently QLC+ has problems opening up those ports.
Like shown here:
![BCF2000 error](http://i.snag.gy/tSfH6.jpg)
I tried searcing, reading the docs, and more searching, but still nothing. What do I do wrong?
(Windows 7 x64).
Feedback to BCF2000
1. modes: there is one input profile for generic emulation (the default one, I don't remember what does it display) and one for Mackie Control Mode (mc-c?) The former is more often used (since it is on by default) and the second has more keys available for you (since the edit section is not needed)
2. USB modes: you'll need one of those U-something if you connect the device by USB. For MIDI connection, use S-something. I use U-2 since it allows me to use another light console as an extension through the second MIDI port. If you don't need the other port, you may use U-1.
The device should work with default windows driver, but it seems that installing Behringer driver helps a bit (though I don't remember in what way) -- this may fix the problem with the port.
In U-2 configuration, you should see two ports: one with input, output and feedback, and another with input only. In U-1 mode, you should see one port with input, output and feedback. If there is no port with input and output, check other universes if the input is not used already somewhere.
Hint: start with unchecking all checkboxes in all universes. You may also delete unused universes.
Basically, you are supposed to set apart one universe for communication with the BCF. In that universe configuration, check both input and feedback. In profile tab, select either BCF2000 or BCF2000 in Mackie Control mode, depending on what emulation mode did you select.
For actual DMX output, use another universe, don't mix input and output.
Does this help?

Thanks for you input! I'd thought I would try the new driver first, but I will definitely add a universe different universe for MIDI, I didn't know that.
I can't seem to find a live link to the drivers, and I don't have them saved either. Do you happen to know where it is?

I tried now with stock drivers and it works. See attachment.
You can find Behringer MIDI driver in BCR2000 page (they seem to forget them in BCF page) - http://www.behringerdownload.de/_softwa ... 1.0.10.zip I didn't test the driver now. It should fix the naming so the input and output show up as one port.

Hmm! Wonder what I'm doing wrong, there's not much to configure!
You have set your BCF2000 to "MC C" (Mackie Control for Cubase) and the USB-mode to "u-2", but you are not using the Mackie profile?

I'm using the default emulation ("bc" - push the leftmost button when powering on). I'm using U-2 mode.
I see you have ArtNet output checked in the picture. First uncheck all outputs and then check feedback for the correct MIDI port (for the right universe).
If you get the error message above when deselecting feedback line, please ignore it (just in this case).

The new driver solved it. I now have the BCF2000 working in Mackie mode (USB-2) with feedback. Thanks, Jano!
Oooh, this is even more awesome than I thought!

Great!
Can you post some pictures when you finish it? I'm curious and I suppose others are as well
