I noticed in the video tutorials that Massimo's mover on the 2D Monitor view was about the same size as the pars. i defined some movers — Hi-LTTE 19PCS*10W LED Zoom Moving Head Light. they have 25 channels each. when i add them to the 2D Monitor the center which animates the color changes has a circle/light that is so small i can't tell what color it has. When i add the same mover that i saw in the video — Futurelight MH-xxx – it's actually larger than the pars.

is this because my light has 25 channels? is there a way to change it in the 2D Monitor so i can make the center bigger so i can see the color changes?

also, this particular light has two heads. there's an 'aura' set of LEDs that surround the 'beam' or main light. when it is displayed on the 2D Monitor, the aura head is next to the main beam head which is even smaller than when i had it as a one head light.

also, i've got these movers on top of truss towers with a par inside the tower as a warmer. so i actually have three lights — Mover Beam, Mover Aura, Warmer Par — all on top of each other. i'm not sure how to represent this on an RGB matrix. maybe it's not a big deal as long as they are logically organized and i can 'cluster' them on the 2D Monitor. i guess i need a 3D Monitor. ;P

I think the size on the 2d display is based on the physical size in the fixture definition.

I don't think the display will cope with your "aura" or light on top of light.

There is some thought going in to 3d display but it is some way down the line still.

ok, so i discovered that if i changed the physical dimensions in the fixture profile with the fixture editor then the size of the lights on the movers changed. it's pretty ginormous right now and the aura head is still bigger than the beam head, but i can live with that. it's just that when i used the actual dimensions it came out super small. not sure how to adjust the heads sizes independently.
