Hello,
I've used LumiDMX on Windows some times, but it wasn't mine, so I've decided to use QLC+ on my Debian notebook and desktop. I want to create a light show with a sound track in the background, but I can only add scenes to the show? Why can't I add chasers or functions? I've created chasers I want to re-use and functions I want to integrate (movingheads should "drive" a circle...) into my show.
I just want to say my wish that I wish me a show-function like in LumiDMX - but at least the ability to make professional light shows with QLC+. But looking away from that, QLC+ is a nice software
Thank you very much,

Better shows
Hi Lucas,
I understand your desire, and indeed have asked for this myself....
Massimo / Jano, is this at all possible please?
For now please take a look at this successful workaround.

God bless
Rick

I expect that it's not too hard to implement, but I'm too tight on time lately... and we have to discuss it with Massimo...
I am designing this in my head. Will start coding once every issue that I foresee is solved.
Not a promise but this can be included in the next version.
Please be patient, it's not a so easy feature.

Hi,
I've upgraded to 4.8.0 right now. But actually, there is only a possibility to add functions, scenes and matrixes. So no chasers
Is there a plan for adding chasers to the shows?
Thanks so much,
Best
Lucas

Still not sure if this is a good idea though. I guess we'll find out in time

I for one would love to see chasers and other functions added to the Show tab.
Create a chaser running on a loop, import that in the Show timeline where you can set the time length of that event. That'd be pretty cool.
Sorry for the newbie question, but how do I get that new 4.8.1 app?

Are you on windows? https://github.com/mcallegari/qlcplus/w ... uild-HOWTO
(I'm not too familiar with Windows compilations, but I compiled using git, qmake on OS X/Debian)
Might have to compile from source using Qt5.
But hopefully there will be a 4.8.1 official release soon

This would indeed be very cool and what I'm struggling with.
Use case is I would like to put a basic chase under each song in the dance show so that there is always some light on. Then I don't have to worry about any gaps in tracks.
Then I can layer front lights and effects over the top as I want on other tracks.
Currently I do this with just one static wash, but to be able to add some colour ripple would be great.
I guess I can get close using an RGB Matrix in 4.8.0 but that doesn't allow me to use my non RGB fixtures.
