Q Light Controller+

Hi!

With my old dmx software I was used to program a scene for my moving heads by editing the scene and using MIDI knobs to change the values of pan/tilt, p.e. I had one MIDI knob to raise the pan of the moving head by 1, and another MIDI knob to lower the same pan channel.
I can't find out if this is possible with QLC+, anyone can help please?

Hello Andreas, what do you mean with "moving by 1" ?
MIDI sliders/knobs sends values from 0 to 127 that are later converted into 0-255 to fit the DMX range.
Basically you can associate a knob to a pan/tilt channel and control the whole head movement.

If that's not what you want, please explain with more details.

ok, I have a scene which includes a positioning for a moving head. On a different stage I have to adjust pan and tilt for this moving head so that they match a given position.
In my old dmx software I edited the scene and adjusted pan and tilt with four MIDI buttons. One button raised the value for pan by 1, another button lowered it by 1, the third raised the tilt value and the last one lowered it. So I was able to adjust positions with just pushing a few buttons.
How can I do this with qcl+?

Hi, right now I can't think of a way to have +1/-1 movements.
In the next releases you will have relative movements, so you will be able to fine adjust positions for example with a joystick.

You can adjust the position using keyboard arrows in the Position tool in Scene editor. Try also Ctrl and Shift modifiers.

Thank you, but I just want to avoid using the keyboard, I have built a Lightstation with 4 MIDI-panels so I'd like to use them instead.

If anyone wants to know, I have solved this with "Bome Midi Translator", but you can also do it with "MIDI Hotkey". Both of them allow you to translate MIDI notes into keystrokes for free.
