Q Light Controller+

Hi,

I've searched through the forum and documentation, and I haven't been able to find a description of the .qxw file format. Is this available? If so, where can I find it? If not, is this something useful to others that I could help with?

BTW, I'm asking because I'm looking to write some scripts generate some scenes and chasers rather than do so manually.

Hi, there is no specifications. The qxw generation is all over the code, so I guess you need to study it to understand each and every bit.

By the way, why do you need scripts ? Unless you found QLC+ useless for editing, you might want to try the Function Wizard. It can reduce the manual operations and THEN eventually you can write scripts to collect some functions and build a qxw as you like.

Perfect - I can look at the code and get the info I may need from there.

I need to generate a few hundred scenes with similar patterns using different colors, so I figured it would be faster to automate them than to do it by hand. The editing interface is really nice and very quick to use, but still slow given the volume of work I need to do.

I have not tried the Function Wizard, so I will give that a try.
