how do you increase the speed of a moving head using the shapes already in the efx generator?

During design time: click on the speed icon  and set the desired times.
During show time: create Speed dial widget in Virtual console, and in the properties link it to your EFX. You can even create one for duration and one for fade in/out (or create three of them, one for each time).
