Chasers within Chasers - fade times

I have one main chaser I'm using as my cue stack for a show. Some of its steps are themselves chasers. I find that if I put a chaser inside another chaser, all the original fade times of the inner one are ignored, and it uses only the fade up / down times of the outer one (the main cue stack). This means I can't have different timings for different steps of the inner one.
The effect I want is a loop of a few steps, where the steps should have different timings. The fade up/down times for the outer chaser (cue stack) ought really just to apply to actually fading up or down the overall effect that the inner chaser provides.
Is this possible?

Hello Paul
I understand what you are trying to do. I have a lot of chases within chases. I have found this issue when making some of them. For one make sure the duration of the chaser steps within are long enough to incorporate its function and their particular duration. And secondly if you give a chaser step a fade in or out it will overlap or cancel the original settings as they reach their timings.
The main issue is much the same with how the timings work with collections in a chaser. The main chaser will interfere with the chasers within or overlap their timings.
I have a work around. I typically create them with a series of buttons in a solo frame with an "All Chase" button as the master chaser. I do this because i use the chases by themselves as well. I then can put them in a sequence to create automation with the "All Chase" button.
For instance, I have six individual chases in the solo frame, each with their own button. I also assign a speed dial widget to some or all of them or as stand alone (individual chase settings), depending on the specific timing needs.
Then i make the "All Chase" button that contains all the individual button's functions in a chaser. I set the all chase's step duration to match each chaser step's specific duration. It sounds complicated but It just take a bit of planning and tweaking, but it does work.
Hope this was helpful
