How to use new 16-bit channels?

I see the latest source version of the fixture editor now lets you set MSB / LSB on any channel, not just the pan and tilt.
But how do you set these up correctly, so that the combined pair will appear in QLC itself as a single channel? Right now my fixtures still appear to have lots of pairs of channels, though the pan and tilt are at least correct.

I enabled them so that at least the fixture definitions are correct, although QLC+ can't work with them now. You still have to use two separate sliders for them, but at least they are correctly marked.
There are some plans, but it's too distant and foggy future...

Ah I see; well that's fair enough. It's a pending feature.
Perhaps more of a guidance question now then: How should I name the MSB/LSB pairs of channels when making a fixture definition, so that QLC+ will be able to work out how they pair up? I imagine it would need to be able to associate them together somehow?

Well, that part is not written yet. I was thinking about adding explicit binding, but I'm not decided yet and it's obviously not implemented.
So far, the convention was to name the MSB channel normally ("Pan", "Tilt", "Focus"), and append "Fine" to the LSB channel. Some fixtures have "Coarse" appended to the MSB channel.
