Here's something that I come across fairly regularly which I haven't really found a way to address yet. I'm not sure if it's something that really requires an addition to QLC+ or if it can be addressed in some way that I'm not seeing. In any case, here is the scenario.

If I program a chase or an EFX, I might do so with a hold time at let's say 0.5 seconds and a fade time of 2.0 seconds. That works fine but it's impossible to adjust those values on the fly without using a pair of widgets which is really cumbersome. Additionally, using Tap to adjust the speed would be out of the question.

If I were going to suggest a way to address this issue with a function in the program, I might almost suggest that the fade time be a multiplier of the hold time (or something similar) but I can definitely see how that could become very confusing. So, that aside, has anyone else run across this in the same way? Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

hello George

Actually you can adjust these values on the fly without using a speed dial . Click your functions tab or the live edit button on VC and select the function you want to change. Click speed dial button in upper left and adjust from there.
This can be done if even if a function is running or not. Make sure they are not associated with a speed dial widget though or it will change to that setting.

Hi Davey,

That's not exactly what I'm looking for (more after a one knob kind of solution or something like the divisor solution in the audio input) but I do have to thank you for making me take a look at the Live Edit function. I remember it being talked about but to be quite honest, until you made this suggestion, I really hadn't explored it at all (which is a shame)!
