Using a Windows 7 computer with a cheap usb entecOpen DMX device. Discovered some things along the way. Had some glitching in the lights and found that the USB mouse was affecting the lights (unplugged it and the lights were glitch-free). Then another time while we were setting the stage, massive glitching (Windows was doing an automatic update). Turned that off, but a week later, Another glitch when Norton AV started an update. (Turn off the auto updates).

Before you throw out the comments about having a terminator at the end. It is an issue for me. I made one and went up in the air to install it in my last fixture (AGT) and my 2 AGTs were going wild. I am planning on trying it again this weekend and will try a small coil of dmx cable with it. If that doesn't work I will put the terminator (100ohm) at various points to see if I have a bad cable somewhere.

My main point here is to turn off all of the automatic updating on your computer so it doesn't update during your show.

Hello to you.
Flickering issues have been discussed in this forum various times, and it's also mentioned in the Enttec website.
Doing a light show with Windows updates and antivirus enabled is a bad idea in general...
