What Debian version is supported?

I just configured a thin client (Atom based) with the latest stable distro of Debian (Wheezy). On top of that, I installed xfce as desktop environment.
Now, I'm trying to install QLC+ but I'm running into many version conflicts. It appears that QLC+ is requesting newer packages than Wheezy contains.

This brings me to my question: what version of Debian is used for QLC+ and what desktop environment is recommended.

Thanks for your help.

Hi to you.
.deb files don't necessarily mean Debian.
In fact QLC+ Linux packages are created on Ubuntu 12.04 (32 and 64 bit)
Ubuntu has been chosen because it is the most used Linux distribution. If I had to build a package for each Linux distro, at this point I would still be on version 4.0.0... :(
I suggest you to build QLC+ on your own. It's very easy.

Dear Massimo,

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll switch to Xubuntu, and give that a try.
