Hi all

Hope you can give me a suggestion how to do this.

Small Band - in front we have in total 8 fixtures pretty much in one "row" - all LED Light bars or LED Par cans

I have a scene that for this example turns everything on in blue ... On/off of is controlled in VC remotely assigned to at button on a Midi-Pad. Now I want to turn on "Focus" - by changing one of the fixtures to WHITE - BUT what I want is to control with a knob WHICH fixture is turning white.... So when knob is all the way to the left - the leftmost fixture is white - and when the knob is turned slowly right - the white light moves to the right though the 8 fixtures and when the knob is all the way to the right only the rightmost fixture is white...

Can this be done ??

I have searched and looked at the documentation but not found the answer

I've wanted to be able to do things like this for a while, but couldn't see how to do it. ie Do different actions based on the value of a slider or knob.

Perhaps your aim could be achieved by regarding the line of lights as one line from an LED array and changing the "image" that was displayed on them. Like an image of blue with 1 white pixel. Don't know if this could be done, but others more knowledgeable with arrays than I, may be able to follow on from this idea.

Hi Guys,

A couple of thoughts:

1) A row of buttons in a solo frame each with a scene attached of blue lights with one white light in a different place. Selection is then accurate and can be done in any order, but is a bit slow and fiddley.

2) A new slider functionality operating on a chaser so that one could whizz up and down the chaser steps - fast, but not easy to be accurate in step selection and the order of the steps is fixed.

Personally, I think this kind of hands-on control gets less and less useful the more fixtures you have to control, due to limited number of hands you are born with! I would create different scenes for highlighting different parts of the stage and some chasers with different speeds and scene orders and either run these off buttons or put them into the steps of a more complex chaser.
